Full Description:

Youth are essential to the fight for climate justice. Join these high school youth from the California Bay Area for an interactive workshop on how climate justice impacts their lives as young people of color growing up in an urban area and what they want to do about it.

Climate change is an issue that impacts our everyday lives and will only only get bigger. Climate change is not only about polar bears, it is also about the food we eat, the school environment we learn in, the air we breath, affordable transportation, what we buy and our rights as young people of color.

Youth are strongly encouraged to attend!

This is an opportunity for young leaders to learn and build with each other. We will have small group discussion and activities on how climate change is a critical issues of our generation. And how bringing climate justice to our communities can be a solution to the many issues of low-income communities of color. We cannot only support the health of the planet but also the health and strengths of our community and our heritage.

We will showcase our work and our vision through videos, photos, discussions and presentation.

Youth are strongly encouraged to attend!
