Full Description:

Since the opening of the Cold War, anti-communism has ascended to the position of an unofficial religion in the United States, preventing a genuine dialogue about the meaning of socialism and its different forms. Today, the global economic crisis caused by the biggest capitalist banks has put socialism back on the agenda. The victims of U.S. capitalism stretch throughout the United States and all over the world, but the people who go to work every day and who by virtue of their labor produce the wealth of society are not only victims but also the very social force that once organized can be the primary agent for change. Rather than pity the victimized workers, socialists organize the working class as the principle force for the revolutionary reconstitution of society because we recognize that it will be the struggle of working people themselves that will bring about a system that puts people first. If you agree that a job should be a right, that housing should be affordable, that healthcare and childcare should be free and universal, join us in a discussion hosted by the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) about why it is only socialism that can solve the ills of capitalist society and bring about a different world.
