Using University Money for Economic Transformation

Participants will learn the opportunities university capital offers for strategic economic transformation and find out what student activists across the nation have been doing to make those opportunities become reality. Presenters will address the role universities, as institutional investors, played in the economic crisis and established and emerging strategies for addressing this behavior. We’ll focus on case studies ranging from shareholder advocacy to financing the solidarity economy, all with a focus towards providing participants with the information they need to take action on their campus.
