Understanding Israeli Apartheid. Have you ever wondered what people mean by Israeli Apartheid? How it is similar and different from South African Apartheid? Did you know that Israeli Apartheid started with the ethnic cleansing of Palestine in 1947 and 48 -- the same year apartheid started in South Africa? In this workshop we will look at the historical context of Israeli Apartheid in order to understand the reasons why apartheid works in Israel, with refugees, and in the occupied territories. We will see a PowerPoint presentation on apartheid in the West Bank. The presentation will be followed by discussion.
