Event Date:
Fri, 06/25/2010 - 3:30pm - 5:30pm
Full Description:

This will be a facilitated discussion about the life experiences of members of the LGBTQQI communities. Audience participation is encouraged. We will help generate and respond to questions with the goal of building a one-way bridge from tolerance to understanding, compassion and unity to help reinforce our bonds as a community of change.

If we are to be a strong movement/community, we need to know and understand the struggles and successes of those who are working with us and for us, both professionally as well as personally. Many folks who identify as LBGTQQI are directors and leaders in our communities; others live and work on the fringes of our global societies. This will not be a lecture, but instead a conversation based on the knowledge and experiences of the presenters and attendees.

As we know, the knowledge gained through discussion and interaction can only help to strengthen our diversity and bonds as a movement. Through your interest and questions, as well as responses, our work together will help to solidify this movement as one that is truly moving towards Peace, Justice, Equity and Fairness for ALL.

Your facilitators have led classroom and professional discussions on the LBGTQQI Communities since 2002 & 2003, respectively.
