Full Description: 

Author and professor James Brittain will speak about the people's movement in Colombia based on five years of research in the regions of Colombia where the FARC-EP is the de facto government. Tom Burke, spokesperson for the National Committee to Free Ricardo Palmera will speak about the kidnapping, extradition, trials and imprisonment of professor Palmera by the US Empire. Workshop moderator Angela Denio will speak about the current a campaign to petition US Attorney General Eric Holder to stop the violations of Ricardo Palmera's human rights and set him free. James Brittain is the author of a new and controversial book "Revolutionary Social Change In Colombia--the Origin and Direction of the FARC-EP".
