In partnership with existing Detroit-based food & farming organizations, we invite US Social Forum participants to join in a ceremonial grounding and recharging of our diverse movements for justice in their sacred connection to the earth. As an act of gratitude to Pachamama, we will offer our labor and creativity towards the co-creation of a living mandala on the land of a local food and farming organization. In order to align our diverse minds-bodies-hearts-spirits we will draw upon the wisdom and spirit of our various ancestors, and unite our prayers for ecological justice, as we make verbal and physical offerings to the land and people of Detroit.
