"Democracy will not come ~ Today, this year ~ Nor ever ~ Through compromise and fear." ~ Langston Hughes . . . . Democracy is the radical idea that "the people rule." If you are ready to bring democracy to the United States, this year, then this session is for you. Join others who are building a democracy movement for the U.S.A.. Learn what they've been doing to create real campaigns for democracy where we work, learn, eat, serve, pray, and play. Learn about how these campaigns are coming together, right now, to form a committed movement for a new, more democratic, constitution . . . PARTICIPANTS INCLUDE: Matt D. Nelson (No More Stolen Elections!), Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap (Democracy Unlimited), John Bonifaz (Voter Action), Lisa Graves (Center for Media and Democracy), Leesa George Friday (IPPN), David Cobb (POCLAD), Ben Manski (Liberty Tree), and Jayariyú Farias Montiel of Venezuela (Vice President of the Indigenous Commission for Communications Technologies in the Americas).
