Full Description:

Reproductive Justice 101 is the standard training for the Reproductive Justice Movement for those who desire to enter through the global network of SisterSong. RJ 101 trains individuals in their own communities on the fundamentals of the Reproductive Justice frame and its basis as a Human Rights approach. The topics covered include defining Reproductive Justice, understanding Reproductive Oppression, the eight (8) categories of Human Rights, intersectionality, self-help, movement-building and application in one’s own life, family and community. RJ 101 is designed for those who are doing Reproductive Justice for the first time and for those seeking more information about our movement and SisterSong. The workshop will combine the theoretical framework of Reproductive Justice with interactive exercises to make clear the connections between RJ and Human Rights as well as with other movements. RJ 101 has been conducted in numerous communities across the country and now we open it up to those attending the US Social Forum.
