Event Location:
Cobo Hall: O2-42
Full Description:

How can people in the US more effectively organize their efforts in support of Palestinians in the occupied territories? What has worked in the past? What has not worked? What can we do that is new and innovative and has the potential to bring about real change? What should be the main areas of national campaigns? How can groups work together more effectively to organize a national campaign of solidarity? How can we work with other international solidarity groups? What is the potential of organizing boycott, divestment, and sanctions campaigns on campus, in stores and with cultural centers? What other strategies might be used to create more awareness and challenge pro-Israeli media coverage of the situation? This workshop will consist of brief presentations by panelists and group discussion.
