MEETINGS SHOULDN'T SUCK
But most of them do. How can we model a better world if we can't even run a meeting without wanting to gnaw off an arm to escape? Or maybe it's not that bad. Maybe, your meetings are functional but dull: a necessary evil ("like gas stations and people" as the Dresden Dolls would say). But the world of "functional but dull" will kill your soul (or at least the soul of the group).
Most people have a common wisdom understanding about what consensus is. And they're wrong. And the result is bad meetings. A basic training in the use of consensus can make any meeting (consensus or not) go better, whether it's with your household, your work, your friends or elsewhere.
This workshop will cover the essentials of good decision-making. Better yet – we’ll do roleplaying exercises to actually try these steps out. It will also include tips on good facilitation.
Meetings are necessary. Bad meetings aren’t.
We don't have time to waste.
