How can local climate policy create green-collar jobs? How can climate justice improve health? How can reducing energy use save money? How can low-income communities and communities of color be at the center?

This workshop will describe the Oakland Climate Action Coalition’s work to develop and equitable Energy and Climate Action Plan for the City of Oakland. Workshop participants will learn how our cross sector coalition of labor, green business, social justice and environmental organizations have developed climate policy for the city of Oakland, CA that will create green jobs, improve public health and save residents money.
