Film - COINTELPRO 101 followed by a panel discussion on government repression directed at liberation movements in the u.s., police repression in communities of color, racial profiling and criminalization of immigrants, mass incarceration and the existence of political prisoners in u.s. prisons.
Creating a movement to demand accountability and restitution for the years of civil and human rights violations by government agents and agencies. Understanding the war waged against movements for self-determination - the escalation of human rights violations seen under the Patriot Act, the legitimization of torture, rendition, secret prisons - the justification of unending imprisonment for uncharged people called enemy combatants as well as decades of imprisonment of political prisoners.
