Building Solidarity with Haiti's Grassroots social movements

This assembly will bring together organizers and activists to strategize on how best to support grassroots organizations and social movements in Haiti. What are the needs of Haitian organizations five month after the earthquake? How can we best support the self-organization of Haiti's popular organization? What can those of us in the U.S. leverage our strategic position to amplify the voices of popular movements and rein in the hegemony of the country's elite? In working through these questions, we will review recent solidarity efforts in different parts of the country and brainstorm a national call to action.
