Full Description:

This is a participatory workshop for discussing and strategizing about how to support Palestinian boycott, divestment, and sanctions within and across diverse movements. Through discussion and small group exercises, participants will work together to build stronger bridges of solidarity. How do we draw connections that go deeper than mere rhetoric? What connections can we make between movements in order to grow our work instead of overwhelm us? Ever wonder if there’s more that you can do for Palestine than turning out to a protest or not buying Motorola? We are inviting those involved in movements that are not yet directly tied to Palestine solidarity but want to draw more solid connections and engage their members and/or other activists. We are also inviting those already engaged in BDS work and trying to be in active joint struggle with other movements. This is not a BDS 101 workshop, it is meant for those who already have some knowledge of the basics of BDS, however in the course of the workshop we will go over some basic strategies and principles of BDS.
