Transforming Power: New paths to social and political change A panel of activists and writers from the U.S. and Canada will discuss how globalization, the climate change crisis, Indigenous influence, new ideas in psychology and science and mass communications technology are revolutionizing our understanding of power and stimulating profound new ideas about social and political life. Participants including
Tom Goldtooth IEN, author and activist Judy Rebick, Paul Rogat Loeb author of Soul of a Citizen. Sharon Longo from Ruckus and a rep from Grass Roots Global Justice will be engaged in discussing strategies to achieve these changes to the traditional ways of doing politics. Alternative approaches to challenging political power will be discussed using concrete examples and drawing from the experiences of panelists and participants from around the world.

Alternative approaches to challenging political power will be discussed using concrete examples and drawing from the experiences of panelists and participants from around the world.
The Toronto Social Forum was founded to organize events related to the World Social Forum in Toronto. It also organizes delegations to various World and regional social forums and raises money for marginalized people to attend. Finally TSF acts as a hub among unions and community groups to publicize their events.
