Participants will learn where and how to find films for discussions and how to publicize them; suggestions for web site hosting and Content Management Software (CMS); where free or inexpensive listserv hosting can be found; and how to publicize and maintain networking/discussion meetings through collaboration with other progressive groups.
Our organization does not so much propose alternatives as plant seeds. We encourage networking and discussion among people of good will, present ideas that they may not be familiar with and encourage them to find their own solutions.
In red state Nebraska, the main strategy is expanding consciousness.
Basic Conflict Resolution Skills Organizing demands we work successfully in groups. All groups eventually experience conflict. How we manage that conflict will affect the work. Successful participation and facilitation in groups requires self awareness and skills for dealing with conflict. In this workshop participants will learn a few basic skills necessary for successful conflict resolution. Attendees will be invited to role play to practice their skills.
