IPS is a community of public scholars and organizers linking peace, justice and the environment in the U.S. and globally. We work with social movements to promote democracy and challenge concentrated wealth, corporate and military power.
IPS takes no government funding. We believe in "public scholarship," turning ideas into action with the goal of building alternatives to current policies and institutions. We aim to strengthen social movements by bringing them together, and provide a resource for grassroots organizations.
