Palestine: Evolution of the movement for Liberation There is a rising sense among activists, Palestinian and Western, that justice cannot be achieved within the context of a Zionist state based on de jure and de facto Jewish supremacy over non-Jews in Palestine. Support for the so-called "Two-State Solution," which since the Oslo Accords of 1993 had been cynically presented as the only "realistic" goal for Palestinians, is crumbling.
This evolution is the most exciting development in the Palestinian movement for justice since the Second Intifada. This series of workshops is designed to promote discussion of the inherent inequality of the Zionist system and strategies for encouraging the transformation of Palestine solidarity work from a limited "Anti-Occupation" movement into a broader struggle for a single state based on principles of full equality and justice for all inhabitants throughout (historic Palestine) (the 1948 and 1967 territories).
