A panel of activists and writers from the U.S. and Canada will discuss how globalization, the climate change crisis, Indigenous influence, new ideas in psychology and science and mass communications technology are revolutionizing our understanding of power and stimulating profound new ideas about social and political life. Participants including Clayton Thomas Mueller from IEN, author and activist Judy Rebick, Paul Rogat Loeb author of Soul of Citizenas well as reps from Ruckus and Grass Roots Global Justice will be engaged in developing strategies to achieve these changes to the traditional ways of doing politics. Alternative approaches to challenging political power will be discussed using concrete examples and drawing from the experiences of panelists and participants from around the world.
