During times of economic, ecological and social upheaval, we are faced with a fundamental choice: to contract or connect. Small and large organizations that are committed to social change and justice are realizing that they require training to learn how to effectively share resources rather than compete for the crumbs. This is a pivotal time to work cooperatively and take advantage of a new political era—joining forces to create cohesive strategies for broad-scale, sustained social change. Networks are a powerful means to increase the capacity, impact and efficiency of social change organizations. As part of an effective network, groups can collectively move more hearts and minds, as well as shift culture and policy on a larger scale. This highly interactive workshop will empower participants to find alignment across a broad range of strategies and develop a culture of inclusive practice that heals the divisions that often undermine collaboration.
