The USSF 2010 will showcase art, culture and entertainment in ways that convey momentum and hope and shares a shares a vision that challenges poverty, exploitation, oppression, militarism/war and environmental destruction-- locally, nationally and globally. Cultural expressions representing diverse communities include: performance art, visual art, and film at Hart Plaza and Cobo Center in downtown Detroit.
Do I have to be registered to perform/exhibit my art at the United States Social Forum?

When is the deadline for cultural submissions?
As of midnight Eastern time, April 25th, we are no longer accepting workshop and cultural submissions.
Will artists be paid to perform at the social forum?
No, all artists are volunteering.
What housing is available at the social forum?
There are dorm rooms, limited solidarity housing, and hotels available. Prices range from $35 up to 150 per night. Visit http://ussf2010.org/housingneeds for options.
Is there a fee to attend the social forum?

The United States Social Forum 2010 Another World is Possible Progressive Film Festival will take place June 23-25th and showcase diverse inter~generational independent films and videos to shape and influence the public conversation in ways that convey momentum and hope. The films and videos represent a vision that inspires, empowers, and challenges poverty, exploitation, oppression, militarism/war and environmental destruction-- locally, nationally and worldwide.
